Dr. Edward Mitoma
Dr. Mitoma was born and raised in Oakland, Ca. He graduated high school at the age of 16 and attended Pacific Union College in the NapaValley. He then relocated to Southern California and received his Dental Degree from Loma Linda University. Dr. Mitoma worked at a clinic in Stockton for a number of years, seeing thousands of patients and perfecting his root canal technique. In 1996 he opened up Arroyo Park Family Dental in Livermore. He was one of the first dentists in the Bay Area to offer CEREC crowns that could be milled at chair side. Dr. Mitoma loves what he does and enjoys staying up- to-date with the latest developments in dental technology. He is an extremely skilled dental practitioner and performs even the most complex procedures. He has a delicate injection technique and often receives compliments from his patients. His confident and gentle manner has allowed him to gain the trust of patients with dental phobias and help them overcome their fears. In fact, many patients who had once needed medication for dental-related anxieties no longer need the medication in order to have their dental work completed. In addition to being an extremely skilled dental practitioner, Dr. Mitoma enjoys the great pleasure of being married to Dr. Nakamura. It's no wonder patients feel like family when they come! The family owned and operated environment takes the impersonal clinic feel out of the experience, and leaves patients at ease and feeling more assured of quality care.

Dr. Mitoma is also a dedicated sports fan, who is always rooting for his favorite teams:The Oakland Raiders, the Oakland Athletics and the Golden State Warriors. His other passion is cars and he spends countless hours reading automotive magazines. He is an avid runner who averages 35 miles/week and has even completed several marathons. He has also been a board member for the Pacific Crest Greater Swiss Mountain Dog Club since 1999.
